Hi @peter_cuthbert, I just looked into your file, and I believe you are just making it more complicated than it is.With sheet metal, I'd always avoid sharp angled pointy parts and rather go for the beefy shapes. Keep in mind that while bending, the bending bench's jaw needs a certain width contact area, to hold the part down, which usually fails on pointy parts.Also noted sheet metal parts booleaned together. It is way better to brush up on sheet metal techniques to add flanges and extensions. If all is working well you can add in sheet metal view. The bits added by Boolean weren't reflected in sheet metal view. There are some things to get used to but the end result is way more robust. I have started using surfaces almost exclusively when creating sheet metal. Onshape seems to understand the design intent much better this way. And really, it's usually much easier even then in SolidWorks. I think the approach of deciding on sheet metal first and then one by one adding all the sheet metal elements is antique.
