Also, if you’re running armoured cable or running metal conduit (whether it’s required or for flexibility), you have to use metal boxes (edit: if you do not have an internal equipment ground wire). I’m surprised no one has said this, but in residential new construction (in my area at least) are Allied tan fiberglass boxes, they aren’t too bad.
